Okay. So I haven’t written as much lately,simply because I was too busy with school. But thankfully,I got through my thesis and am now on my sembreak. Thank God. Yipee!!! So anyway,I’ve gotten around to reading the books I bought months ago. I started with this novel which was really hilarious. It’s Rachel’s Holiday by Marian Keyes. A really good book I must say,written in the first person point of view. To see what it’s all about,do read on.

Rachel is an Irish girl,based in New York,who considers herself an “occasional drug user”. So when “occasional” is actually “habitual”,Rachel nearly gets herself killed with an overdose,which she considers to be a mere accident. So when her sister and her sister husband picks her up to send her back to Ireland for rehab,and her boyfriend calls their relationship quits,she is left with no other choice but to go. Rachel thinks the rehab center she’ll be going to has got the works – spa,tanning bed,jacuzzi. When she is hit with the reality that it’s not all that she thought it would be,she is forced into a journey of self-discovery,hopeful that maybe by the end of her journey,she’d find that man who has changed her for the better.

I could not help but laugh while reading this book. It was funny and witty,and I must say that Marian Keyes’ writing was just superb. I loved it. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who would love a light and funny book. Not a lot of men might want to read this though. It seems like more of a girl-thing to me,especially with the light romance on the side. Just my opinion though! I heard they made this novel into a movie in UK,and I really have no idea if it was actually released worldwide,since I’ve been living under a rock for the past few months because of my thesis,but the movie is probably something I’d be looking out for as well. Anyway,being a first-time reader of Marian Keyes’ works,this book definitely makes me want to read more of her books. Grab a copy,it’s definitely worth it.

I have a certain passion for music. I play quite a lot of instruments myself,though not close to being a pro. I love to dance and sing as well,though the latter doesn’t seem too fond of me. Kind of a love-hate relationship there. I can dance,not that well,but I must say I’ve got quite happy feet.

A little over a year ago,I discovered this game through a friend - Audition Dance Battle Philippines. It started off as a global game,created by T3 Entertainment (I think) from Korea. I guess E-games Philippines bought the rights for it (if that’s how it works…) and eventually made one,kind of “exclusively” for Philippines. It’s much like the Dance Revolution,but here,your fingers do the work. It is really fun. You get to dress up your own character,buy clothes for it,play different game modes,and meet other music enthusiasts all over the country (or all over the world) and make new friends. There’s a big variety of modes you could play (or you could learn them all if you wish). You can use your number pad or just 4 keys to play. There’s even this one mode called Beat Up,which is very similar to dance revolution,but instead of the arrows moving up,the arrows are coming from the left and right side,moving towards the center. There’s also a couple mode,where you can make proposals to be “engaged” and married later on,as well as a game mode called 1-2 Party,where you have to memorize the moves that the NPC makes,and do it the exact same way. Those are just some of the modes you can find in Audition Dance Battle Philippines. I’d leave the other modes out for you to discover. ^_^

It’s about a year and a half since I started playing and I must say,I’m still hooked. If it weren’t for all the school work that my thesis has been dumping on me,I’d be playing the game 24/7,much like my habit before this school year started. LOL. ^^v

I would recommend this game to everyone,from music enthusiasts to frustrated dancers. Something fun that I think everyone should definitely try. I’m not giving out my in-game name right now,maybe next time. My game has been kind of embarrassing lately,since I haven’t had the chance to go do my “practice sessions” that often since my thesis started. I’d be posting links,if you opt to try it in a version that’s “exclusive” to your country or location. Hope you do try it out! Do comment back in case you do and let me know how you find it. The Crucial “First Post”

Nothing much to write here,seeing that this entry is the first one. I am currently ranting about how I can’t customize my blog,though I don’t know CSS much anyway. So why not tackle that for my first post? Yep. Sure. Why not?

This blog’s header would be temporary I guess,since the whole thing looks a little too dull for someone who loves color. As for the CSS code of this,I don’t think it’s going to change much,unless WordPress comes up with more available themes that’s more suitable for this,or better yet,allowing custom CSS codes for free. Sure,I wish. I found this really nice theme on www.eblogtemplates.com. It looks like a scrapbook diary,and it automatically “says” what day you wrote a certain post. Pretty neat. Too bad I can’t use it though. *sighs* To those of you who have the wordpress upgrade,feel free to click on that link and download the code.

Anyway,nothing else to write about as of now,since it’s 1 in the morning and my eyes are kinda tired. I hope I get this blog going,not to mention make it more interesting. So much for a first post,eh? ‘Til here!
